Lynne, you queried the change of name from years back. An intimate male piercing, said to have been adopted by Queen Victoria's husband, is called a 'Prince Albert'.  Seems plausible the brewery thought it inappropriate to continue with the name in a genteel neighbourhood?

As so often, it appears the journalist misunderstood the expert's statement.  The last line of that tells us the erosion will continue and reach PRE SCHEME levels by 2030, not REPLENISH by then.

In the event of joining a shortish queue, leaving an appreciable gap might indeed make sense.  In a long queue, it would surely double or treble (maybe more?) the LENGTH of the tailback - perhaps through the town, or in the 'Morrison's' location, back to Newton Abbot?  OK, I've exagerated!

Ten out of ten in the geography test.   We in Britain are of course in Europe.  And an awful lot of us want to stay here despite the many negatives. This is getting tedious.  Over and out - in every sense!

I have continual problems getting a signal from the EE network.  I seem to be in the shadow of the hill on the Bovis estate where I live (just sometimes I can receive a very weak signal from upstairs, but not at all reliably).   How do others fare with the different networks locally?  I'm reluctant, though, to ditch EE as it is a powerful signal at other locations where I need it.

Elsewhere the kiosks have been extensively used to arrange drug transactions/drop-offs without a mobile number being revealed (for tracing by the police).  Seems our locality hasn't raised that demand, as Lynne's usage stats show.

Yes, there is unfortunately the risk of it becoming a rat-run.  But the entire Bovis/Cavanna estate, which is currently only a cul-de-sac , is served virtually entirely by that other rat-run:  Elm Grove Road, with its two schools.  The residents there will breath a mighty sigh of relief when the always-planned alternative access is at last opened. Simplify please, for my aged brain!  Do you think that means the Link Road will come into being early? Or just that the right-turn road change into Sandy Lane has been passed?  Maybe the developers will just do their own thing again without interrupion.
