He was born in Dawlish and therefore that would be the likely cause he would be seen locally, I understand, but not from a verified source he was in Teignmouth yesterday.

@BOO HOO , I don't believe Galloway made the mark? However I quite agree that the people voted and with regret politics is not so clearly black and white and therefore while the people spoke the designation of seats does not provide a fair and just process. Here's to Farage's chance to blow and push the Labour off course and take it's rightful place.
@Cassandra and @Dil - becareful, your posts look like you are threating Deedoodle..... I spoke to a tourist working for Talk Talk the other day too and they confirmed all was down.
I quite agree with that, I'm not sure what done above is enough, I think mirrors or something would have been well suited too, as it does not allow cars turning in to Sealawn, become any more noticable, and cars pulling out still can't see left and right due to the vehicles parked there.
He has been found, is safe and well, and likely not to be around Dawlish anytime soon.
@flo - not making anything up. i asked a question to you in my first response to you, and in my thereafter i meerly asked an open question to the matter. @leatash - quite agree, thats where i park if friends are using thier space, if not sandy lane it is.
We should always commemorate and remember fallen and non fallen heroes, and if the beacon was made for a reason it should be used, looked after and maintained for the reason. I fear there is so much in Dawlish that could make Dawlish so pretty, that just goes amiss. Will Cllr Wrigley also ask for the removal of the Christmas Tree dumped in the manor grounds and ask why the area is not being ...
@majorp you may have friends on bigger councils than a small town council, if we didn't have small town councils they bigger councils wouldnt have much to do. they all twiddle thumbs where needed and deal with things that don't need attention like a new playpark or a resturant on tucks plot.
Excellent, everyone can swim in the sea this Winter....It's probably because they tested the water out of seasons so holiday makers wee was not ditected.
We are gone stupid in this world, and Dawlish is getting no better. Roads are for vehicles, by that I mean motrised ones. Paths are for pedestrians. Cycle paths are for byicles. Parking spaces are to park your cars in Corners are for driving around into a road Pavements are barriers between roads and pedistrians I'm sure some clever person can expland this list, but is it rocket ...
Do we have any CCTV, someone must know something about this, idiots.
It is all a pointless game, we have forgotten how to look after our countryside and will allow a house or two....hundred anywhere.
What is it with the need for everyone to be swearing all over this site @webmaster - I really think the beach needs to be concentrated on and I'm sure somehow more could be made of the railway attraction it brings.
I think that most people who are agaisnt the playpark, myself included in those agaisnt, are not wholeheartdely agaisnt having one, they are more agaisnt where it is proposed to go, the down effect it will have and the accuracy of the information we have all been provided with in the first place. It will no way near be a match to that of Teignmouth. I don't believe that the number of those Dawlish ...
Very suspicious and nothing can or will be done about it either, that's the sad thing.
Well let's hope the rent is paid and that no more trees are felled in that area.
There were indeed many plans for Dawlish during the years, a new bandstand - in 2000 and again a few years ago. Sculptors along the sea front, pontoons, a resturant along the breakwater, landscaped gardens at the manor, a land train, dredging of the whole brook.....along many more.....but the council has lost all those willing to push new ideas, because those who werent called the shots, and had ...
Taken it too. But what a load of rubbish. It even can't help itself but to contine to mention Newton Abbot everywhere within in it. Oh well. Did my bit.
@webmaster , certainly didn't come across that way, now if you're dawlish born and bred, or even from the town, you'll know like me the town is built on the bickering foundation trust. no one will win there i'm afraid. but my points and observation still stands, more so this is a thread about the carnival week just gone, not much about it yet....
It is currently with someone as far as I know, ask the Town Clerk if they can provide some information on the situation there, or alternatively ask out the Warren if anyone knows.
Well I certainly hope he was offered the oppourtunity before killing of another Dawlish Buisness.
Believe me there is lots of evidence, we have a co-op they are the hub of everything Fiartrade. In fairness, Dawlish has been a fairtrade town for a long time, just not been sign posted as one. What I'm annoyed about is that money is spent on signage when other signs need addressing more importantly.
He won't loose his job by company default, he would only loose his job if is mental state is not secure. It's sad all round, those effected in anyone. Thoughts are with the gentlemans family and friends and likewise the train drivers and all those touched by these sad events.
Anyone have inside pictures on whats happening here?
just found this on thier facebook @Carer - thedawlishregattagmail.com
thanks for informing us @Margaret Swift that it was not a private or confidential item and i do hope that in that email it was not an "official" council email. however for goodness sake you have done it again "i have come to expent the responses i get from a very small minority of councillors" have that small miniority of councillors also come to expect the responses they get for you? i guessed ...
Dawlish Carnival, I can't help but to assume that the money the Council give them will go to either the float, or atleast the majority of the float, as that is all they really are interested in or that it will go to thier own pockets. I sincerely hope that the Council keeps close account on everything and really does question every expenditure possible. And of course challenge anything that ...
You know they have been there so long I drove by just now and didn't even notice they were gone.
Funding: I was not born yesterday, though on these message boards we seem to have to much rudeness, circling of situations and people who are very obviously getting a kick from being spiteful and enjoy telling us how someone has upset them. In recent times can we all just take a step back, breath, enjoy this town that we choose to live in and look at what is currently being done to improve the ...
Well first of all when I read PSCO and Pettinelli I then began to read the first line and though what was she doing in Septemember around "1945" then reading again I realise it meant the time of day not era. It's a shame that youth, or anyone to that matter can see this as being fun. Thought being dark around that time I wonder how they were seen to be doing it, where they approached or waved off. ...
@EmmaJ your quite right. so who went to the carnival at ipplepen carnival from the dawlish committee? and who actually ran the raft race? can anyone confirm. it sound's so much to be a split committee of one group interested in dawlish and one in themselves. so let's get some facts flowing if anyone knows? and i agree we can overlook it and laugh at the situations but kids are not growing up with ...
Let's be "Fair" about this. No one can knock Mr Rowland, he is a buisnessman and has done much good for the Town over the years, from helping the costs of the Bowling Green, repairing the lawn on numerous occasions and donating many items for local charities and groups. He is not to blame in all this, and I say that if he can bring that many rides down (which for a "carnival" week is way too many) ...
