Vaping at the wheel could cost you your licence: Police warn motorists e-cigarettes could be illegal under law meant to ban mobile phone

Hasn't anyone else picked this up in the Daily mail today?

Some of those vapes produce so much fog it has to be dangerous if used whilst driving.

I would love the Police to pull me for vaping in the car it wouldn't stand up in court for two minutes a simple argument if it's deemed to be dangerous then why isn't cigarette smoking banned it produces a similar amount of fog.

why is it stupid? you see people in dawlish walking around doing impressions of thomas the tank engine, seriousl tooting vapour and some of the disgusting flavours into the faces of anyone without care. now @leatash i do agree with you that one rule for one, not for other, and in this case i would say ban both vapour smoking and cigarette smoking at the wheel, especially when those thomas impersonators like to fill up thier whole car with the stuff....is that not dangerous? i would say it was for sure!

The trouble with a ban is who will enforce it, while standing in traffic on Exeter Road today the driver in front was on his phone and so was the one behind. Then when walking down Brunswick Place i noticed a couple both smoking in the car windows closed with two under five's in the rear the Police cant enforce what is already illegal never mind more legislation.

Oh I quite agree with that, the Police can't enfore half of our laws that we have in this country, let know a sunny little seaside down like Dawlish. I do quite agree!

And when they do enforce, who will be the unlucky one to feel the full force of the law?

not sure i understood your response @majorp - i guess it will be smokers who can't wait to get out the car that will feel it?

TheObserver said, "The police can't enforce half of our laws we have in this country". So the law is there for them to use, and when they do use it, who will be the unlucky one? Do you understand that?
