The town will survive it doesn't cater for the majority of people's main shop now.

It isnt only Tesco and what you have to remember is they have stores all over the world. I say this as someone who will not shop in Tesco's on principle but that is to do with the way they treat their staff. All supermarkets corner shops every retail outlet is there to make money. Maybe the gain should be taken out of food along with public services

Lidls would get my vote no frills shop decent food , good value for money locally sourced greengrocery etc Asda second place As somebody said anything is better than what we have now the Co op

I for one think its obscene making that much profit out of food. But doesnt make me want to do my bulk shop in the corner shop, as they are too expensive Food is going up at an alarming rate and we all have to look after our pennies. Saying that I do support local shops go to independant Butchers and Green Grocers& Chemist in Teignmouth as there isnt any in Dawlish. Bakers Deli Health Food ...

Where do you buy chickens in Dawlish Lloyd Maunder well they are a chain. Also Sainsbury's sells free a range and organic chickens cant get free range in the Co-op, farm assured isnt free range. The independant shops in Dawlish will still thrive for two reasons, firstly they offer alternative to what the supermarkets have to offer secondly I dont think anyone does there main shop in the Co-op let ...
