On the train from Dawlish to Exeter the tide was out I notice discarded plastic carrier bags littering the railway embankment and as the the tide was out on the rocks and sand on the beach and estuary. Is it time Dawlish became plastic bag free
What a good idea not only would we be doing out bit for the enviroment it would show that we do care about things other than supermarkes more houses etc
I go told off in Stokes wnen I put some carrots and an onion loose in the basket, next time I went in used the mushroom paper bags got told off again! even bio bags take between 2 & 5 years turn to dust.
Yes was told it took to long to weigh things loose and only mushrooms allowed in the paper bags. I go to a little veg shop in Teignmouth now they do a lot of organic produced if you do need a plastic bag they provide used ones and dont mind if you put items straight into basket and they are very nice people who work their
I went to Pinhoe spar shop the other day and was charged 5p per carrier, so I won't be going there again.
Why not take your own bag. Majority of plastic bags come from China ruining our planet on two fronts carbon footprint and our enviroment
Oh dear 007 that will teach you to take your own bag in future, or reuse the one you have paid 5p for.
Trago Mills have been charging 5p&10p for plastic bags for years.
All supermarkets are going to charge for plastic bags soon M&S have already started and now spar, good on them.
Where will you shop then 007????
007 you certainly dont worry about the enviroment, suppose you havent any children otherwise you would care about their future
Have you shopped on line before 007?
You don't get free delivery you know.
You have to choose a slot and it can cost anything from 5£ upwards.
So I suggest you carry on paying 5p for your plastic bag at spar!!!
Nothing is for free that free carrier bag doesnt cost you cash the cost is added to price off goods, and an even bigger price is paid by ruining the planet
I haven't shopped at Tescos online before, but paying someone £5 so I don't have -
Drive to Tescos.
Push trolley around for an hour.
Queue up.
Pack.
Load in car.
Carry it in doors.
£5 what a great deal and it's good for the environment too.
I don't have any children, 'global warming' is just a natural cyclic event that has happened many times before.
007 you will be back to square one when Tesco starts charging for carrier bags that was your quibble wasnt it. I often shop on line its great
