Yes it is a shame, I thought he was very good at his job. I understand that he and Victoria Graham have been good friends for a long time, and of course she has split from Simon McCoy, so maybe she found doing an on-air tribute and farewell too much to handle.

Watching his 'send off' last night on Spotlight, 16/10/2020, did anyone else notice the absence of Victoria Graham amongst all the other well known people who bade him farewell? It is a shame to see him go.

Does the (former?) Monopolies Commision look at local issues?

I'm sure someone will have to pay for it. I'm not saying they won't. It seems to me that it will be up to individual parish and town councils to decide whether to spend money on providing it (and yes, and before you tell me, I know that's council tax payers money). Someone has to pay for it and I don't envisage the skip contractors saying glad you got advice and information now  give me my money........ Let me make it plain this is more political bulls**t from  political councillors who believe that talk is better than action and the public will swallow it.
