Was the rubbish coming from the cafe? If so they need their own commercial bins - not included in business rates.
Or an incentive to park at Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Asda or Tesco's perhaps? Maybe the powers that be who make up and enforce these rules should look more at helping people park in town centres (preferably for nothing) thus assisting those who have to pay ludicrously high business rates to make a living and keep our town centres alive. Just a thought.
Please spill the beans Fred...how are they illegal? You could save a number of Dawlishians a good deal of money!
I once sat in A&E Torbay whilst my son (in his 20s) went in for treatment, was diagnosed, scanned, anaesthetised, operated on and admitted without anyone telling me anything for 5 hours! But he was sorted, the op was purely exploratory and case solved so I can't fault the treatment...second to none...and that is really what it's all about.
Well I can't think of many businesses that would want to start up next to our own sewerage works! If our councillors don't get behind it I will be dismayed! Provided that your prices are ballpark I'll certainly use you...Good Luck to you both.
Yeah, that has been thought of. Unfortunately I'm no longer part of it so can't answer for the current committee. I have to say though that on 2 previous occasions when the Riders Branch have said that they're coming to something we've had on they've cancelled at the last minute. If that happened under this scenario it would be a disaster. I think what people need to focus on is that you ...
No, they've been asked before. I'm afraid that these days even some of the bands have to be paid.
The problem with charging to get in is that the organisers then need to delineate what is 'In' and what is not. That requires barriers of some sort and 'policing' the boundary. Both cost money which the organisers can't afford to put up front with no guarantee of a return. The bucket colections that the RBL do are not very well subscribed if you take into account the number of people there. In ...
@Lynne (again!) That's just daft. Private landlords are not all profiteers. Many have worked all their lives in jobs that provide no pension other than that guaranteed by the state. They have provided for themselves by buying property, often on a mortgage or with an inheritance, and now you want them to sell it for social housing? They are already being creamed by local councils ...
Apparently the RBL are putting up a Kindle Fire on their raffle boards. Now that is something worth winning and speculating a few quid on! Hi Chef. I could have done with you within days of you leaving; one of my chefs broke her arm! Don't fancy coming back for a few weeks do you?lol
