An accident involving a 9 year-old girl and a car has occurred adjacent to the Tourist Information Office. The Air Ambulance is in attendance. Drivers are advised to avoid the town centre.

Sorry @FredBassett , I really don't see anything wrong with what @Sbooty has started here and what @Brazilnut has contributed to in this thread. The regeneration and the new strand are the things people are discussing at the moment and I don't want to censor or delete posts just because people disagree on things. It wouldn't be much of a forum if people were not allowed to disagree...

An incident along the Exeter Road has caused serious disruptions to the traffic flow through the town this afternoon. Problems have been compounded by the collapsed wall at the bottom of Teignmouth Hill, and by the Strand Hill being closed off. Making matters worse, a white works van broke down at the top of Stockton hill whilst trying to navigate out of the chaos, effectively cutting off ...

Data from every school in Devon shows that 94.9% of students at Dawlish Community College continued on into some form of learning after leaving our school compared to just 91.9% of students from other schools. In addition just 1.1% of our students did not go into further education, employment or training compared to 2.9% of students at other schools across Devon. Full article: ...

Heavy rain in Devon overnight caused a 15m (49ft) long section of wall to collapse on to a main road in Dawlish. Devon County Council said it happened on the A379 at the bottom of Teignmouth Hill. Highways crews are at the scene investigating the damage. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-21910061

You are probably thinking of 'comment' sections on news and social sites which are not forums. However, I had considered the problem of having to scroll down on long threads a while back and thought of a solution that would suit this site ...

@wondering , the problem with having separate discussion sections is that people tend to just ignore them and post in the most popular section anyway. in the old days, we used to have a 'council/politics' section, but everyone posted in the 'general' or 'backyard' sections. By the way, it doesn't have to be set up by me because anyone can create a new discussion group, which is basically the ...

Hi Don, Sorry, but if it is not in your outbox it didn't reach Dawlish.com. You are right though in pointing out it would be good to be able to save a message before sending it so I will look into doing this before the next release.

A market inside Dawlish Leisure Centre is not what you would normally expect to see when you go for your weekly swim – but Teignbridge Council is doing just that. The Council is putting on a new indoor market inside its leisure centre as it looks to boost the offer for residents using the popular leisure centre. The market is being held on Sunday February 24 from 10am until 4pm and will ...
