A POPULAR footpath in Dawlish has reopened to the public. Lea Mount has been closed off for several months while work continues on stabilising the cliffs above. Now, Network Rail has announced the footpath from Lea Mount down into Marine Parade is now open.
A NEW temporary home has been set up for the Black Swan population in Dawlish which has been named Quackingham Palace. The structure was erected, next to the existing aviary, by the town council’s waterfowl wardens in case it is needed over the coming weeks as the latest eggs are beginning to hatch.

DAWLISH Coasters had a good turnout at the Powderham Power Run on Saturday. In the five-mile event, Henry Irvine took first place in a time of 30:47, followed by Kate Sadler in fifth position (second female) in 37:25.
