I agree that we should be rid of district councils. Once we elect Town Cllrs there should be a further election to select which of them represent the town at county level. And these Cllrs must refer back to the town council, rather than making decisions unilaterally. The current system where town councils are basically overuled by District Cllrs who don't represent or live anywhere near the town ...

Is it just me or is this ad to big to read properly?

Seems a bit harsh fine, couldn't the council just warn him to get it lifted or else ? or does the tenant have to have a chance to lift the items . £458 rate ? to remove the items, done by the councils own workers and another excuse to raise excess money

We need to be rid of district councils like Teignbridge. They are an unessessary level of local authority that the tax payer cannot afford. The town council should have local responsibility reporting directly to the county council. As for cllr Wrigley the party he stands for isent important his only goal is to become our MP ousting Anne Marie Morris in reality he would be better placed standing as ...

So during the towns busiest time, the weekend when the kids are off school and the holiday makers swap over the unit is closed. Also why is it an appointment based service now and how do you make an appointment. The managers that make these decisions seriously need to have their jobs removed on the basis of total incompetance.

A LANDLORD who evicted his tenant and dumped their furniture on the pavement has been fined for littering. Nolan Foley repossessed the house in West Cliff Road, Dawlish, and moved items including a sofa, cushions, drawers and white goods outside hoping the former tenant would retrieve them.
