A COUPLE who ran a taxi firm in Dawlish have been named by Teignbridge Council after having been stripped of their licences. Michael Miller and Grace Miller, who jointly operated the cab firm Grab A Cab, had their licences, one as the proprietor and of a Hackney Carriage driver, removed after a series of complaints.

TWO men who struck up a strong friendship during a Christmas spent in hospital undergoing gruelling treatment for blood cancer are marking 12 years in remission. Andy, 35, from Dawlish, met Chris in 2011 when they were both being treated for aggressive forms of leukaemia.

What a great bloke he was. A true gentleman indeed. My heartfelt condolences  to his wife Di and family. RIP Tom.

TRIBUTES have been paid to a stalwart of the Royal British Legion Dawlish branch. The death was announced of Tom Elliott, MBE, former president of the Dawlish branch. The retired Royal Navy lieutenant commander will have a guard of honour at his funeral which takes place on Friday December 27 at 2pm at St Gregory’s Church, Dawlish.
