DAWLISH Indoor Bowls Club held their annual celebration dinner and awards ceremony at the Langstone Cliff Hotel on Wednesday.

A DAWLISH businesswoman has raised more than £1,000 for a Cyprus-based animal rehoming charity. Chrissy Marks of Signature Hair and Beauty in Dawlish has raised close to £1,200 off the back of a fund-raising campaign for Saving Pound Dogs Cyprus (SPDC).

TWO Dawlish Coasters went to Wales to take on Newport Marathon on Sunday. In a field of 2102 runners, Jade King finished in 460th position in a time of 3:25:47, which was a 26-minute personal best.

DAWLISH Bowls Club held their President’s Day on Sunday, April 28, the first formal event of the season for members. The current and past Presidents sponsor an open competition, also providing a buffet after play has concluded.

The clothes are bagged up and donated to Cancer Research UK. On average, each bag raises £35 for the charity. The consultants, who have groups in Dawlish, Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey and Ashburton, say they are thrilled with the results.
