To respond to Youth Worker - I cannot speak for any others, but from my point of view it most certainly might well have helped DAY's cause if DAY had consulted with parents, residents etc and in doing so publicised what they were thinking of doing. They didn't - which hasn't helped what they are trying to achieve one iota. Those who might have helped them achieve their aims have been alienated. ...
We might well NOT be against this idea if someone had bothered to give us details. So, thank you for doing so. It would have been nice to have been consulted BEFORE the planning application went in. We weren't. We only have the details from the planning application. Ergo the response. and yes...I do care about my child. That's why the planning application got the response it did.
Just found this. Viaduct, Olive does not live in a dream world. I think her comments are very true and if it wasn't for people like Olive what a depressing world we would live in. Keep up the positive comments Olive, you never know they may rub off on some.
Mouse, Thanks for the apology - accepted!
Mouse, How wrong you are there. I have been very involved, which is why I am able to answer and know what is going on. Please don't judge people before you know the full facts. I have been involved with a lot of things regarding the project, including advertising, distributing flyers, etc. I never said I was complaining because of apathy of the great supporters for this project, I am frustrated ...
Look I can really understand everyone's frustrations regarding the money from the Leonard Lamb Centre and totally agree with you that this money should have been put towards the new youth centre as was promised, but it hasnt happened has it. In fact I remember the Manor roof was being fixed very quickly afterwards for a huge amount of money, which came from those funds. I agree that if you have to ...
