General Discussion

I've viewed your posts on various threads and wonder whether you are Mr C our Mrs C. You are very a very controversial contributer and so is your great supporter who always congratulates you after a post especially when it comes down to immagration matters (he's Eastern European I guess.) and couldn't practice the same feeedom of speech in his own country without being abused or arrested. ...

The Strand
13 Jun 2013

Has anyone else noted that there is a complete absence of litter bins along The Strand apart from the Co-op one's and maybe one outside the One Stop shop although I do not remember seeing this one today. Also where are the smokers going to put their fags out with no ash bin dispensors evident either?

We did it! Iain Duncan Smith will be held to account for his misuse of Government statistics. Last month Iain Duncan Smith told journalists that one million people are claiming benefits yet able to work. The problem was it wasn't strictly true. That's why 96,666 people -- including you -- signed the petition to demand the Work and Pensions Committee to hold Iain Duncan Smith to account ...

It's such a pity that the new paving slabs looks so dirty, really who decided the colour? They are already discoloured with stains and car tread marks whilst vehicles mount the newly paved areas, it is disgraceful that so much money has been spent on such a poor design/colour. Look outside the Co-Op and Wee Shoppe Bakery and see the stains wherever they came from and the project has not yet ...

"Sir Peter is the 17th baronet of Ballentaylor and Ballylemon in Ireland. As eldest son, George will inherit the title" I think you'll find they have always been rich! inherited titles and wealth that was no doubt obtained through exploitation of ordinary people in the past.

No wonder the country is going the way it is when I view some of the comment made on this forum. Not everyone on benefit is a scrounger which IDS has attempted to brainwash the nation to think. A great many hard working people are attempting to get by but now the jobs are part-time, short-term contracts which are paid at minimum wage with less holiday entitlements. There are not enough private ...

Strand Works

Would you prefer empty shops then? No new business's are prepared to come in and take over the empty shops other than charities. Banks are not lending even if there were individuals that wish to run a shop in the Strand they could not obtain a loan. The charities can provide the backing and organisation when opening and running a shop. These shops benefit from local peoples donations and ...

Well that sums it up doesn't it? He's a throughly horrible individual and typical of the ministers today in parliament irrespective of their party. The main 3 parties all have their own hypocrites and the country needs a new type of politician and party that has some conviction and moral standing.

Great Britain

Thirty years ago a discussion such as this would probably not occured, it is only the social engineering by most recently Cameron & Clegg and p[reviously Labour who opened our doors to all and sundry hoping they will be in government for ever as migrants would be forever grateful. The middle aged population is the most frustrated as they have witnessed what has gone on without being consulted as ...
