I hadn't known the skate boarders where doing all these things, please accept apologies. Maybe the next step is the newspapers? Get some real support going for these kids. I truly believe there should be a place for all ages in this town and we shouldn't bow down to the pressure of the old. These kids should be supported as they are actually not doing any harm and they are in my experience even ...
What an adult reply this is! This is why you are miss understood and disliked. Instead why don't you all start campaigning the council for a place to get a decent skate park, get a group together to fund raise to help build a skate park. Get local people on your side by giving demonstrations of your talents on your skate boards, develop a routine and go in the carnival.Lots of ideas to get you ...
If you didn't have the "grocles" coming to visit a place with nothing to do in the summer rain, a lot more of the towns people would be out of work and a lot more of the shops would be closing as the TOWNS PEOPLE" seem to refuse to buy from their own town! Just look at the ventures that have come and gone in Queen Street just in the past 18 months, lovely shops that left again because the LOCAL ...
Have you ever thought thats what people are trying to protect???? They don't want this area to change the way other areas have. Yes it can be a little quiet and yes it's hard for people to afford a place to live (like many other places) and yes you can't get back from Torquay on the bus after something ridiculous like 6 o clock but thats what they want. They want it to be peaceful isn't that what ...
If you do move to the area please do think of the town and put your money into the area you have chosen to move to. Dawlish has many lovely shops and if time is taken you will find a lot of things between Dawlish and Teignmouth to spend your money on instead of going out to Tesco or such like.
I haven't seen any critiscm about Dawlish shops on this site????
O Forgot to say it's not only this the westcountry that have this problem and it sure isn't envy and if I won the lottery I would try to find a large house in this area to live in and still use the small town shops to keep the individuality of the area (that so many "incomers" love and move to the area for) alive and thriving.
You are talking rubbish. The houses have not been vacated and so easy to buy. The folk of this area even though some of the kids work all the hours god sends can't afford a shoe box EVEN to RENT. That is why a lot of people are resentful of people moving to the area, their families can't get a foothold on a property and are forced to stay at home. That's not to say they are not wanted at home. But ...
