Hi,
We are a small family looking to move to Devon and Dawlish is high on the list. If anyone could give us some advice we would really appreciate it. In particular what is it like for young families, childcare, playgroups, schools etc?

Ditto - i'd like to know about the infants and junior schools.

The schools are pretty good, I have more knowledge of Gatehouse than Westcliff as my child went there. Gatehouse has good facilities and excellent teachers.

Don't know what childcare is like other than Lanherne Nursery which is also excellent.

I think Dawlish is a really good place to live and more young families moving in is good - think we have enough retired people here for now!!

If you do move to the area please do think of the town and put your money into the area you have chosen to move to. Dawlish has many lovely shops and if time is taken you will find a lot of things between Dawlish and Teignmouth to spend your money on instead of going out to Tesco or such like.
