Just because you see shops busy from June - September, there are eight other months, you still have to pay staff and business rates etc. You will not get local sales in winter from locals.. proof is the deserted Strand and Lawn. If its that wonderful open a shop yourself and find out!

A Dawlish Town Council Planning Committee meeting will take place on Thursday 24th July at 7.00pm concerning the Tesco planning application. This meeting is open to the public and will take place in The Council Chamber, The Manor House.

Wondering....what has kids falling out of school to do with this debate? I agree, it does get heated on here at times....but isn't that the nature of debate and differing opinions? Giving to charity

I give to a few charities directly. Not only do i get to choose what charity i donate to, i can also be certain that they actually receive it. The only time i give money to street collectors is when i buy a poppy. Other than them, i wouldn't trust anyone else collecting in the street.

Hi was interested to see your commens about seaway.We stayed there once in our caravan,after 2 days my wife became violently sick and we had to go home early.It really did smell awful.We now go to cofton,a very pleasant site.We live in burnham on sea ,but will be visiting your lovely part of the world this week.Could your councill do anything about the weather??????????????
