Giving to charity

When giving to charities, optimise the benefits of your donation by contributing directly to your chosen charity. This way, charities will gain the maximum amount from your philanthropy.

When you give money to the likes of Roundtable or Rotary, they 'cream off' up to 40 per cent through loopholes, which they call 'admin'. That's a lot of money NOT going where it should be.

Just as offensive, is the way Rotary and Roundtable shout loudly about how much money they have raised for charity....when the truth is, it is the public, not them, that have donated.

When collecting for charity, do it quietly and with dignity. Do not use it as a PR exercise.

GIVE TO CHARITIES DIRECTLY.

I send money to the RSPB. I wouldn't trust anyone collecting on the street. I think it's disgusting that these people collect money just to take a percentage for themselves. They should be ashamed of thereselves.

For years those the purport to be a charity ie, Rotary, Round Table, are really snakes in the long grass.
They make out they do such wonderful things for society, when in reality they feather their own nest on the back of, Oh look what we have done for those poor children Etc,.
Oh yes! they do collect money from the gullable public, and oh yes! they give some, (not all to other charities of their choice), Now why would they, do this?
Would a charity such as the RSPCA or any one of the other 160,000+ charities give money to another charity, and if they did, it would be so transparent and above board that we would all know why they did it and for what reason.
How much money is collected from gullable people who wish for better things and throw money into the wishing well (Tuck's Plot) I have never seen any statement of accounts or who collects and counts the money.
Cynical I maybe, but every day you can read of someone robbing the poor, so why should Rotary or Roundtable be any different on that score?
For those in doubt, look below the surface of those that walk around displaying their badge of honour.

Can anything be done to stop such people lining their pockets with money meant for good causes? I have never trusted Mr Prothero, he has always seemed shifty to me. And i don't much like the ex Mayor, she seems very stuck up. Heaven knows why, she is such a commoner. Never trust those who think they are better than others.

Yes get off your backside and do the collecting yourself.

Would that be a response from one of the 40 per-centers?! Roundtable and Rotary are corrupt! Lining their pockets while collecting for the unfortunate.

His response is very angry. Do you think it's because Roundtable and Rotary have been scuppered in their collection scam?

If you can smell something Roy (or whatever you're calling yourself this particular minute of the day), then I suggest you change your bedsheets...

And then go to bed, get a good nights sleep, then go out tomorrow morning and get yourself some professional help.

You are up very late. Are you trying to ensure you hide something? I smell a deacon/shed type reptile. Protherore and Hockin are corrupt. Investigate them and see the truth.

I give to a few charities directly. Not only do i get to choose what charity i donate to, i can also be certain that they actually receive it. The only time i give money to street collectors is when i buy a poppy. Other than them, i wouldn't trust anyone else collecting in the street.

This might be a stupid question, but why do Round Table and Rotary Clubs have to collect for charities? Why do they not just direct people to donate directly to their chosen charity. Also, why are the public/donaters kept in the dark about where the money that they collect actually goes?

Is this set-up all about public relations?

How many remember Protheroe senior and a couple of his side kicks, selling lottery tickets outside Lloyds bank. Highly illegal! He hasn't been there since it was pointed out to him, but gets others who do not know the law to do it for him.
That will show you what a cream headed twister he really is.
