Nothing to do with wrong licences being issued and money being sought in compensation - No! - tis all to do with the pong from the Sewage Treatment works situated right opposite.

Well....anyone else got any different theories?

PS And anyone any idea why what looks like a couple of garage doors have been placed up against the gate that leads into the Seaway field?

You certainly would never have caught me staying there or recommending others to do likewise. The stench is awful when you walk past the old Timaru Gardens!

I've no idea who thought it a good idea to open a camp/touring site there...

And who sold Timaru to South West Water? Why, none other than councillor Mary Mugford. Who cares about the stench for us residents when there's a big pot of money at stake.... Yet another caring Dawlish councillor showing their true colours.

I certainly wouldn't holiday in the Warren either, with that super-size toilet stinking up the atmosphere.

Anyone else see this in this week's Gazette? It's from 1998.

"Dawlish Liberal Democrats have issued a stern 'don't count your chickens' warning to South West Water over its plans to site its new mult-million pound new sewage treatment works at Timaru Gardens on Warren Road. The party has reinforced its claim that SWW seems to think that planning permission is a foregone conclusion".

Some effective campaigning there then by the Lib Dems (not).

Hilarious! That's made me chuckle. So let me get this right....Lib Dem Wally Protheroe was insistent that South West Water would not get their hands on Timaru.....which was owned by Mary Mugford, a fellow councillor, who regularly patronised his pub and whose son is best friends with Malcolm Protheroe.

These people are taking the mickey out of Dawlish residents whilst caving out huge wealth at our expense.

PEOPLE OF DAWLISH WAKE UP AND SMELL THE CORRUPTION!

I'd much rather the sewage was still pumping in the sea.

That's a shame, because the effluent is circulating within Dawlish Town Council. The stench emanates from every corrupt councillor.

And the crap you talk

Not crap but the truth. Truth truth truth! Roundtable and Rotary are so corrupt! Watch them squirm as they try to defend their 40 per-cent 'cream-off'. For too many years this practice has been taking place...so it's about time the public knew how much of this collecting actually gets to charities.

ROUNDTABLE AND ROTARY TAKE UP TO 40 PER-CENT OF THE MONEY YOU GIVE TO THEM. FACT!

LOOK THIS UP ON GOOGLE AND YOU WILL FIND THE TRUTH.

DO NOT TRUST WHAT YOUR COUNCIL SAYS!

I see that "Doreen" has gone all shy now! Why is "she" posting further upthread as Anon?

And "she" has the nerve to see corruption in every paranoid direction "she" looks, when "she" is living a lie...

"Doreen", like your alter-ego, you need help. Seriously, I pity you.

Is there a shrink in town? One, obviously, that isn't a member of the Round Table, Rotarians, Freemasons or drinks at a pub that dares to have a wine list...

GET. A. LIFE.

Sycophants are running scared! Roundtable and Rotary are the epitome of corruption!

Keep up with us! We are more in number than you are imagining! This is great fun watching the roundtable & rotary dullards try and defeat us. They are computer deficient to keep up with us on other blogs.

The electorate are ours ;-)

This thread started off with a tongue in cheek comment about why Seaway is closed.

Surprise, surprise, we've gone right off the subject and into Cllr, Rotary, Roundtable etc etc bashing.

No doubt Viaduct, Roy and goodness knows what other names will now post to say "it was them wot done it" (closed Seaway that is).

You wait - I'm sure we won't be disappointed.
