General Discussion

I went about 11am, you could make a vote for or against Sainsburys, placed in a box. People were filling in feedback forms, looked like long essays! One of the Reps said, the Council will decide in 4 weeks and if in favour they will start build in May, to open in 12 months time. Hope that helps.

Yes agree DM. Im fed up of people parking on pavements and having to walk in the road ..those people should be booked. When you have someone in a wheelchair you have to come off the path and go round the car on the road and back up the kerb again.. same for prams. So book em I say! What does the highway code say about cars parking on footpaths?

20mph max with speed cameras would solve the problem, would save all the mess at the moment. Its the speedy mob in the evenings where the problem is. Mind does beg the question if the road has been closed for so many weeks and during half term, proves the town can get by without it!

A pub with no football and yobs would be good! ..it works in other towns why not Dawlish.

There is no need to close as people can still get to the establishment. Maybe they have a claim to the road works company and will get more money in that way! The place had turned seedy with unsavoury charactors standing outside, was smart at the start but that does not sadly bring in Dawlish local trade, so they had to follow the ways of other pubs.

Good poem Don. People will no doubt decide if its all worth reading...they dont seem to have one good point about Dawlish but guess that is the point of the group.
