I don't want to have any part in petty slanging matches on here, however the agenda of "the investigator" can be found be looking at this blog site: http://www.redbubble.com/people/investigator It seems he/she has more in common with some of you than you think.

Why would anyone want to start a blog and asking for contributions to slag Dawlish off. A very strange site for wishy washy Liberals by the look of it.You can even download your FART on it. I wont call it art because most of it is shite.

Well said Dawlish Man. Some cant see it though, because they choose not to. Ok everyone. Sit back and do nothing as usual. Let Tesco come into this town. Who cares !! Let the councillors live a life of luxury with their over fat wallets while the Strand gets emptier and emptier, and more empty shops, then who will be the first to complain? You, Mr Warrener for a start. So dont slag me off. Read what I am about first. I am NOT slagging off Dawlish. Have you heard of 'Reverse Psychology'? I want to show up these incompetent councillors on my Blog and what they are (not) doing for this town, which is what you DONT see in that excuse of a newspaper. I want Dawlish to be a great place again, NOT a deserted town like you and the others want.

So stand as a councillor then .In May you will be able to change the way this town is run. After winning your seat you will be able to expose the council for what they really are. You can be the peoples champion , stopping those fat wallets from being filled and sending those bad councillors to the gutter. YOUVE GOT MY VOTE (as long as you dont go under the banner of lib/lab/con)

JW, "expose the council" thats the problem a Councillor cannot make a complaint about the Council only a private citizen can make an official complaint to the Ombudsman or the Standards Board, The Ombudsman are all retired Chief Exec's of Councils and Standards Board are members of other Councils so you have no chance.

Councillors can say what they want, to anyone who will listen. If corruption is invloved then you call the police. You are also free to put a leaflet through every door telling the population what the council is up to.As long as you are telling the truth you have nothing to fear. VOTE INVESTIGATOR the peoples champion

It is under Eyes of Dawlish and provides a certain amount of what one might expect and, at least at the moment, rather less of what I might hope for, were an Eyes of Teignmouth to be started.

Agree its all quite sad, but then Facebook is! ..the usual negative postings and I note poster CC is unable to express themselves without using the F word. 'Birds of a feather' comes to mind.

I've now found this "Eyes Of Dawlish" character on Facebook, and was decidely unimpressed with the immature and semi-literate guff posted on there. He merely copies stuff off of here or repeats drunken crap that his mates have told him down the pub. As for his 'campaign' re. nonces? I tend to think that those that always bang on about nonces/paedo's are usually protesting too much for a reason. There are more than a few cases of groups being set up on Facebook that proclaim that they are anti-nonce, but are in fact set-up by paedo's who hope parents of young children will sign-up as members of their anti-nonce group. Once they sign-up, their photo's (which the nonces hope will include pictures of young children) are accessible to them.

Having just looked at the so called 'site' on Faceache for this eyes of Dawlish, what a load of cr@p. Are these people real? Are they older than 10? I see that he/she comes out with statements on there a day after on here or on my site. The new duck enclosure and my suggestion for getting those on community service to clear the brook, both appeared on faceache AFTER the original suggestions.

I agree.. they should not call the group 'eyes of dawlish' but 'I hate dawlish' it would be more fitting. I am yet to see anything positive posted. Cant you sort em out!

Wondering, Certainly not intended as an implied criticism of you, but The list of fans shows a lot of young people for sure, just writing as young people do. However, a) The overwhelming majority of young people become mature reponsible adults in time and are no different to the way we were at the same age. b) In view of the nature of a large number of posts on the Backyard over the years, some of the older posters would do well to engage in pot polishing before they criticise too much. Age2 Age forgets its reckless acts Remembers only what it wants, “The young today show no respect. It was not like that in our day.” “Back then, we did as we were told.” (Lost in mist the dance-hall years, The drunken fights, the groping hands. The beaten wives were never heard.) Proud Augustus, no doubt feared, The coming generation’s fall. “The young are weak, no discipline. The empire’s lost. You mark my words.” As youth must disrespect the old, And treat as nothing age’s cares, So age will often scorn the young, As time pursues its fleeing years. Don

Good poem Don. People will no doubt decide if its all worth reading...they dont seem to have one good point about Dawlish but guess that is the point of the group.
