@Paul From what I understand, the wooden fencing is only temporary. How long 'tempory' means, is anybodys guess. LOL.
Was that the one with the arches? I think it may have been demolished and the land built on.
I see we now have some nice new litter bins along the Strand and the Lawn along the path adjacent to the Strand.
Have found the new Carnival Website. Not much info though despite only just over 7 weeks till the start of Carnival week. Click here.
Hanging Baskets At long last, they are UP. There may be hope for the 'mud banks' now.
For how long though, I wonder? Lets hope that the powers that be dont put them back at the end of July and keep them there for another few months.
@Brazilnut Not just the mud banks, but where are the hanging baskets?
Just been past Salamis Restaurant in the Strand and workmen are in there gutting the place. Anyone any ideas as to what is going in there? Also, seems like the old 'Hole in the Wall' the Teen drop in centre, looks like that is having a clear out also.
@ QL. Was I blaming anyone? No. I was just replying to BN's enquiry. And who said anything about having to be rich to enjoy a cup of coffee? I certainly didn't so was there any reason to mention it?
@Brazilnut . It is not just the betting shop, but some others as well. All the shops were given an option to 'buy in' on the scheme to have their own property in front of the premises (which isnt council owned) to have the same paving stones so to completely match the rest of the work. Some of the shops/businesses opted out of the scheme.
