Does anyone know if local (ie within the parish of Dawlish or, say, 5 miles around it) people are being employed on the house building scheme at the Warren and the new supermarket at Shutterton Bridge? I don't mean being employed once the supermarket is up and running, I mean now when it is being built. Anyone?

It was merely a suggestion and I'll tell you why. Because............if no-one, or very few, in Dawlish let him know that we do not wish to have the tip closed then he can say, with hand on heart, that he has not been on the end of an overwhelming protest. Oh dear here we go again. The reason I pointed out that my child was happy at the school is because that is the case. Others are similarly so. Others it seems are not. Don't follow your logic there Fronterman re Tesco's. How can Sainsbury's being given planning permission mean that Tesco will win their Appeal? Tesco might win their Appeal but equally might not. Not sure how Sainsbury's already building has set a precedence at this moment in time.
