I didn't know anything about two people walking out, I was referring to the sad deaths of Brian Heath and John Hayday. It must have made things very difficult for the rest of the committee and dedicated helpers who do a marvelous job.

What ever happened! There were some really good entries spoilt by the order they were placed in. 20 mins late starting, so many long gaps people started to leave thinking it had finished. I heard a shop keeper today telling someone people had been saying the carnival was rubbish. It's a shame it could have been a really good carnival if it had been organised better. Having it on a different day to ...

Jacky, there are a lot of family's in your position as i have grandchildren myself and they have to learn the word NO!!. You allow them ex amount to spend and when they have spent it that's it!!!!

Haven't we been here before? If I remember rightly Tesco wanted to build a store on the football pitch and have a stadium etc built somewhere at the back of the town. At their expense.

Can you honestly say if you were looking to buy property on an estate or around the Sandy Lane area having the Youth/Training centre on your doorstep wouldn't deter you? It certainly would me.

I was led to believe every child attending Gatehouse school was provided with a letter also the school took the opportunity of displaying notices at the reception area on Friday as it was their school Fete afternoon which many parents attended.

Farmers Market

If the Farmers Market is not supported as much as some people think it should be maybe it's something to do with the price of things. e.g one steak pie £4 one loaf of bread over £3. It's not the case of not paying those prices the ordinary everyday family couldn't afford to.
