23 replies with sod all to do regarding the carnivals problems, instead content with petty bickering! If the carnival/airshow is likely to be cancelled due to cash shortfalls, how about those that want to make a killing from OUR town, showing some generousity? Sainsburys, Tescos, then Midas homes or Cavanna ( which ever one it is that wants to urbanise the Gatehouse fields. Is it 30 or 50 grand ...
I see that the planning application regarding this property has now been withdrawn. I dont think that anybody would object to change within our town, if it was done with full public consultation and it truly was for the better of the town. Unfortunately not everyone either has access to the internet to view the Dawlish.gov website or may have the time to trawl through all the various proposals. ...
Conning an elderly lady out of a large amount of land for a very pitiful price. I remember the said lady living out her days in a rather ramshackle house, having to take in a lodger to assist her with paying the bills when if all had been done fairly, she should have been in a position to have been able to afford the luxury of a nursing home.

According to ' The Post' it should be " 30 skilled workers". Roughly translated thats " 30 low paid foreigers/un-skilled workers ". I was under the impression that Dawlish Warren was supposed to be a tourism spot, is that not what councilors always fall back on when they defend the high council rates/scandlous water rates etc? ( its the price that YOU pay for living by the sea/tourism area etc ...
I think that the words ' Cheap' ' Tacky' and ' Un-desirable' are what you are looking for. The establishment of the same name in Teignmouth looks exactly the same. Its rather strange when you consider that the Tattoist shop along the Brunswick manages to look far more environmentaly friendly and clinical, it shows that its not the establishment or trade to blame, but those in charge.
