How can a small town like Dawlish support TWO betting shops? I suppose it has gone to the dogs, literally. Presumably some one granted permission for this to happen. How low can Dawlish sink? I watch from afar with interest.

Yes. Every month or so there is a meeting between estate agents and local builders and they talk about which properties are coming up. They are interested, obviously, in character properties, particularly if they need a bit of work.
