Question your honour - The muti-national developers have repeatedly made it clear that they cannot justify building large numbers of so called affordable and if the same as starter homes under the current market conditions. So who is the government going to get in to build them. Are we going to see a return to local authority direct works departments employing construction workers to build their ...

@Gary Taylor Its not exactly snipping is it and the reason I dont stand for council is a simple one. I dont have to tow the party line in what I say or do. I can have far more effect as things are, without sitting with my mates behind closed doors and having to wear a shirt and tie. Or a hat in some cases. Frankly I dont blame you for not agreeing with me its what you would expect from a ...

The reason Gary Taylor dosent agree with anything I put on here is quite straight foward. He is a local councillor and a Lib Dem one at that, and I tell the truth. Thats another thing to watch when you move we have the worst local government you could ever wish for and that applies to town, district and county. Incompetence rules at all levels.

Dawlish is a lovely place to live - Thats if you have retired on a juicy private pension as the council tax will take most of it. The truth is Dawlish has become the dumping ground for the authorities house building programme as dictated by central government. There are very little employment oppertunities and what there are are minimum wage and mostly seasonal. Shopping as suggested at Sainsburys ...

Camoron's latest bull

11 May 2016

At least an out win would get rid of Camoron and maybe some of his bent mates, should also make lunatic Corbin stand down. A new UKIP government may just keep Farage's word and rescue us from the dangers of Merkel, Brussels, left wing brain washed do gooders and traitors like Blair, Obama and Clinton. Our survival on our own could be achieved if we followed a Trump lead America. We survived ...

Seems from the above comments that once more people are treading on eggshells to avoid being labelled a racist. We all know the main reason for needing to get out and I for one arent scared of the truth or the labels. We are an island nation and as such we need to control our own borders and fight our own battles. Immirgration to the UK has to be controlled via managable numbers and on a skills ...

Here is the info direct from TDC. The number of confirmed registrations on Devon Home Choice from Dawlish and qualifing for affordable housing is 227. The number of confirmed registrations on Help to buy SW qualifing for the shared ownership scheme is 22 allthough these may also be on the affordable housing list as well. It seems the need therefore is not huge and dosent mean that the ...

Here is Jamie Hewitts (highways officer) response to critisism of the current alterations. In reply to your email. Yes the running lanes of the A379 are being reduced in width to accommodate the extension of the cycleway into Dawlish town centre but they are still going to conform to Dept. of Transport guidance. As there are already many section of the A379 which are narrow some of which are ...

Under the Roads and Street Works Act 1991. If the contractor fails to carry out the work in a timely manner. Then a section 66 notice can be issued. Six months to reduce the height of the wall and install new curbing is a ridiculas amount of time for such a job. Why is the scafolding being built on the road side when there is nothing obstructing the work being carried out from the old ...
