Post office

This is not a Crown office, the staffing is decided by One-Stop and has nothing to do with the PO. It is One-Stop management who decide the number of hours they wil pay for PO counter staff. Recently this has been drastically reduced, one of the longest serving staff members simply put her keys down and walked out. The counter staff are also fed up with their reduction in working hours, this is ...

Thanks J Warrener, your suggestion to: Just look for the address of your nearest Devon County Councillor and dump your rubbish on their drive. They'll gladly take it to N/A as its not far. is the best suggestion I have seen on this board for a long time, now you've really got me thinking!! is the best suggestion I have seen on this board for a long time

Makes a nice change for the views of residents to prevail over the 'planners'. This whole incident has been about the so-called planners wanting to show they are in charge and because you didn't get their permission they just had to show you how powerful they think they are. Let's hope this will make them use some common sense next time, although if they had common sense they wouldn't be ...

It seems as 70% of locals already shop out of town, mainly in Exeter and Newton Abbot, please refer to following link http://www.des4rev.org.uk/habitude/NoDawlishSupermarket-leaflet.doc Now this 70% don't need to travel so far. Neither Sainsburys or Tescos will have a failed store, the only stores they ever close are when Sainsburys or Tesco build a bigger newer store nearby. This is happening ...

Seagulls are vermin and should be treated as such.

Clearly local shops have nothing to worry about then, so why all the objection to the majority of the population having a choice? The vegetables I bought last week from Sainsburys were exactly half the price per kilo as the same item from Stokes. As a regular shopper at Stokes I know exactly what everything costs and comparing like for like they are very expensive compared to Lidl or Sainsburys, ...

About time we had a local Tesco and Sainsburys, costing too much in petrol to travel to Newton Abbot these days, as we are having Sainsburys it will make no difference if we also have Tesco, so let's hope for us customers we do get a choice of both. Be nice if we also had a Lidl nearby.

LOCAL shops only survive if 'locals' use them, the demise of local shops all over the UK is the result of people using supermarkets, don't blame the supermarkets, they only stay in business because people use them!!. A Tescos next door to Sainsburys, excellent idea, the sooner the better.
