Quite right BB. There is little need for Banks and Post Offices these days. I post quite a few packages, including some overseas, and as long as they are narrow enough to go through the Post Box slot I buy the postage online and print the label, haven't bought a stamp in years, and I am able to post stuff 24/7. The new Post Offices now have self serve counters for weighing and posting parcels, ...

As a customer I have received a letter about this, the ATM will be closed but Natwest customers can use their debit card to take out cash at from the Post Office, later this year deposits including cheques can also be made at the Post Office. There will also be a mobile bank available, no days specified yet. This is only an assumption but I wonder if the PO will actually handle transcations ...

Whilst I have never failed to vote, I don't understand why people complain about non-voters. Our Govt has abstained many times in votes at the U.N. If it is acceptable for a Govt to abstain on matters of international importance at the UN, yet still make speeches and express opinons about the motion that they refuse to vote on, then it should also be a 'legitimate' option for the electorate of ...

Fracking joke!

Don't know about MASSIVE amounts of anything except sand and water, other 'possible chemicals' listed below maybe used in smal quanities most of these are already in the human body or food and are almost totally innocuous in comparison to the amounts we consume every day by eating processed food. What Chemicals Are Used As previously noted, chemicals perform many functions in a hydraulic ...

Fracking joke!
22 Feb 2014

That's a good comedy film, people have been setting fire to the water taps ever since water wells were drilled, absolutely nothing to do with fracking as many badly drilled WATER wells in coal mining areas allowed methane into the system which is flammable. No one has suggested water wells should not be drilled as they may release methane, and there is never been a single case of ground water ...

Why Aid to India
7 Nov 2013

I misunderstood, I thought the Indian Space Programme was sending Indians to the UK to make more Space in India.

Wondering, you are quite right. Shops have been closing down for years before Sainsburys came to Dawlish and the same applies to every other town in the UK and other towns and cities around the world. And the reason Sainsburys et al are doing so well is not due to some govt conspiracy suggested by Fred Basset, it's simply that people LIKE shopping in supermarkets!!!!!!! The govt should stop ...

People who work for a living have to live in accomodation that they can afford, why should a person who's rent is paid for by the taxpayer feel they have the right to live in whatever accomodation they choose regardless of the size and price. I know 2 single people who have 2 bed ''council'' flats, they had the choice to move or contribute towards the rent, one person moved the other ...

Surely all the shops that are ''missing'' used to be there but closed down due to lack of customers. Has anyone seen the result of the Mary Portas ''high street regeneration'' scheme, with 2 exceptions all the areas that received the govt funding have continued to decline. High Streets are dying because nobody uses them. Just bought a book from Amazon for £10 less than the Watersone's price, ...
