I really am thinking that by all the posts Dawlish people hate everything!,. Tourists, Seagulls, New houses, and now its Sainsburys,...I see even sitting by the Brook seems a sad thing to do! ... Surely you have to ask yourself why do businessess avoid Dawlish like the plague? ...Barclays Bank and HSBC left in the last 10 years. Could it posibly be the people and their negativity? So why do ...
Oh you and your 'doom and gloom'.. its time Dawlish had a proper store.. The Strand is clear of people right now and Sainsburys is not even open!!!, nobody around because there are NO holiday people! ..so very little trade.....now do get a grip!
You are so right Steve..daft thing is people will want Tony Blair and Gordon back again you see!!! Makes you laugh how when Labour put VAT down 2 and a half for a short time everyone said makes no differnce, now an outcry because its gone up 2 and a half. Its something to do with people cant work out what 2 and a half actually is lol.
BBC Watchdog would probably like to hear these stories...send them in, they may do a feature. http://www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/gotastory/
I was trying to say .. I wonder if the paper feels it would upset the local traders and their existing advertisers if they are seen to promote the store. Lets hope they get it built soon.
As a guess ..they would not report on it for fear of loss of advertising from exixting shops. Have seen this happen with when a new shop has opened in a town in a another area. You are right though they should report on it, another reason why I dont buy a paper!
Oh well the posting has been good publicity for the pub...ill wind and all that!
If the Strand is going to be pedesrrianised thats good news..look how nice it is to walk round Newton Abbot, far better for shopping ...cars get so on your nerves! I'm amazed those who can walk dont walk anywhere! Sainsburys wont effect Dawlish as Ive said before, locals will probably not use the store or like it for some reason or other lol , if they do that will then be a first!..the business ...
If you dont like it... dont read it or get a job there and 'make a difference'. Mine is delivered free. I've not bought a national paper for years, most all about affairs, sport and negativity! I dont want to pay to read about that!
So Zoopla price values are totally wrong then?..they seem to match the thoughts of Estate Agents in town.
