Business leaders at the Warren have welcomed the development, they say it will attract more visitors. The wooden 'shacks' which were previously there were demolished over 10 years ago. It seems a shame the council couldn't have replaced the orginal 'shacks' with a few smaller shops to let out to individual people to rent. The Fun Fair is now being refurbished in time for Easter.

Tesco put in planning to build a supermarket on Sandy Lane playing fields in 2007. At that time they offered to buy some houses around that area. They were also looking to purchase the field along the Warren Road for a football pitch plus land at Secmaton Lane for a Foolball social club.

On Saturday 06/12/2014 at approximately 13.00 a male called an elderly lady stating he was from social services. He stated that They are dealing with all the el derly in Dawlish and its to do with the medication that they take and what was wrong with them. FIRST Great Western has said that it has “no concerns at this moment in time” about the repaired track at Dawlish after services were delayed this morning.
