All to do with government grant being cut apparently. Which does of course make me wonder if the TDC policy of 30% affordable for these larger developments is now in actuality feasible (if ever indeed it was) or a pie in the sky wish. Just curious to know how you know how many applications there were for the shared ownership at Swan's Rise/Secmaton Rise. Care to share?
This is the site just starting to be built to the side and back of Gatehouse school more or less opposite Gatehouse Farm. It backs onto the presently being built Strongvox Swan's Rise development. It seems that only 12% of the Bovis 251 dwellings due to be built at Secmaton Lane will now be 'affordable'. Of that 12%, 50% is scheduled to be for affordable rent and 50% for intermediate ...
Sorry I can't help you in any practical way Paul (like pointing you in the direction of suitable accommodation) but my best wishes are with you in your quest to find the accommodation you need. Have you thought about approaching any of the local Housing Associations to see if they can help?
A clouded yellow perhaps? The female has yellow spots in the black borders on the upper sides of the wings.
Looks like there should be one this Sunday. http://www.torbayexpress.co.uk/index.php/LatestNews.html
Just thought I'd post that. We call them in our house "Dawlish evenings" as it seems that very often, when it has been a bit of a miserable day here, the sun comes out in the evening and shines over Dawlish. Just as it has done now. Looking towards the south east and over the sea as I type this it is almost a cloudless sky (mind you it doesn't look like that towards Exeter and east Devon way!)
Ah yes, forgot to say (because I was so busy concentrating on Dawlish) that you can also get to Topsham by train or bus (see my posting above). Tis t'other side of the Exe Estuary but it does have a 3 storey Antiques Centre on its quayside. By bus you would have to change at Exeter. By train it is straight through (catch the Paignton to Exmouth train from Torquay) and then you will ...
This is TDC's requirement concerning this application and affordable housing. "The above outline application is supported by Housing Services provided that the application includes the following affordable housing provision. 30% affordable housing with 70% being rented housing and 30% being intermediate housing. Affordable housing meeting Code 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes The ...
As I've just posted something about rail way journeys on another thread I just thought I'd remind those of us lucky enough to live here that we can buy a Devon and Cornwall Railcard for just £10.00 per year and then we can get a third off the price of off peak rail travel as long as it is within those two counties. Cost me all of £2.60 with a D&C card to do a return Dawlish/Exeter Central trip ...
As you don't want to use your car here are two suggestions. By bus - the local bus operator (Stage Coach I think it is) does a day ticket that enables you to get on and off their buses as many times as you wish. I can't remember what the ticket is called - something like a Day Ranger (but feel sure the bus driver would know what you meant). Costs around about £7.50 for the day for one ...
