There is a short advert to watch then you are live on the sea wall.
Sorry, Cam has been taken offline.
Doesn't seem to working anymore but it was when I posted it.
Any of you computer whizzkids know what's wrong?
Webmaster. I think the webcam Is very very good, should be better later on In daytime today. But I agree with you advert Is a bit off putting, and why have one there In first place?.
Don't know if I am doing something wrong, but it appears to be stuck at 07:18:45.
And no, it's not cos the clock is on GMT, as I have tried a number of times.
@stephen15, the advert is placed by livestream who host the webcam.
@Carer, i don't think it is 100% reliable, so perhaps try a bit later.
Is It me but Is the Dawlish Sea Wall webcam stuttering.I have e-mailed railcam and they say that It Is my Internet connection. But I have tried You Tube,WCML Webcam.ECML Webcam, and they are perfectly OK.My Internet and Wireless lights on Router have green flashing lights.Anybody have any Ideas.
The Dawlish Webcam Is now a seacam.Watch the high tide go In/out. Watch the Low tide go In/out!!!!!!!
I've just found this webcam and I love it to see one of the places which I love. This webcam is now my favorite.
Dawlish and the seawall; with the lovely and kind people, the black swans and the trains.
Many times we have visit this nice place on our holidays from Holland.
Greetings to Colin Marsden who lives there and wrote the book about the seawall and for sending me the issues about the Class 47/57 two years ago.
06 sept. The horizon is now horizontal. That's better for the water.
Just to tell you that todays steam special has been cancelled because of Industrial action by ASLEF.Their drivers who drive for DB Shenker decided last Friday to take Industrial action.
That was the Royal Duchy pulled by the locomotive Tangmere.
It was the Torbay Express that was cancelled.
Is there a timetable of these steam trains coming through Dawlish (online or otherwise)? Would love to take kids down to see them, especially those that stop at the station
Torbay Express.

Looks like the Royal Duchy has finished.
Sometimes the times of them passing through Dawlish can be found in the window at the Tourist Information Centre.
@cheftallyrand.if you go to uksteam.info there is a whole list of steam trains up and down the country, not just at dawlish.there is 1 on saturday and 2 on sunday.
There Is steam today. At 12.05pm, returning at 5.05pm.It Is being hauled by 7000 Britannia and 60019 Bittern.I got this Information from website,so If I am wrong, they are wrong.
And It came through dead on time(12.05pm).Looked very very Impressive too. Can`t wait until 5.05pm tonight for the return.
just looked on the webcam and its looking rough out there...... me and the grandson was watching the waves bouncing up the wall and trains going through......
1) No sound on the Dawlish Webcam.Railcamlive are aware of this.
2) Does anyone know about the landslide at Dawlish?
From today the normal timetable will run between Penzance to London Paddington.Even the sleeper trains are running to their normal timetable from to-night.
Hi.Dawlish Webcam offline for to-night,and hopefully will be back tomorrow. With Sound, hopefully. But there again I am hoping.
@kenny.i keep going on to railcams website and all they say is won`t be fixed today.they say that sea spray has got into the microphone.then it lost power.do not know why.
What can't be seen from that webcam though are the ships that are presently anchored in Lyme Bay and are easily visible from Dawlish.
As I type this I am looking out over the sea and can see five of them quite easily.
Probably taken anchorage here due to the strong winds futher out in the channel.
The Dawlish Webcam does not operate but is on a temporary feed. That`s why you hear music and sounds in background. It only operates In daytime. There twitter page gives a link to their facebook page which gives more information.
Just to inform you that the webcam is back on,but has no sound. There technical guys hopefully will have It fixed by Monday according to their Twitter page.
@Ol English Sheepdog ziggy. The Dawlish Cam Is up and running, but not very good sound.I keep hearing a echoing sound.Worse when trains pass and now we have gone to black and white.
What do people think of the new sound? It sounds like a LU train coming into station.I hope they change the sound.
Since Monday 9.00 p.m. (8.00 p.m. local time) the camera is very well, and the sound is back!
I hope now for a long time.
@ooyykas. The sound microphone is in a case to stop the sea spray getting to it. Their explanation not mine.
The Dawlish Airshow will be on the Dawlish Webcam.Nothing on it at moment but flying starts midday.I canot get down their this year but I hope to get dow their next year.
Just come back from the town. It is positively heaving with people and all high areas (Lea Mount, Sandy Lane Playing Fields, hill by The Smugglers) also full of people.
Will be watching from the front and back windows of my house.
Perfect weather for an air display. Must go now - Red Arrows have probably just taken off from Exeter Airport and due to arrive here shortly.
