A NEW ‘cafe’ has been launched to help people in Dawlish cope with chronic pain. The Pain Cafe aims to connect people living with constant pain by providing an informal, friendly cafe to encourage people to share experiences and develop new ways of taking control.

A ‘GENTLEMEN’S’ rugby club has donated £500 to a Dawlish charity. The Holcombe Gentlemen’s Rugby Club was founded 25 years ago by fans of the sport who frequent the village’s Castle Inn pub.
We should be encouraging tourists and shoppers by making parking easy and cheap or free where possible, and ensuring there are ample amenities including public toilets. Otherwise we'll end up with a town full of dodgy charity shops and barbers.
That's absolutely nuts. As 1263 says, what about the tourists, all the people that pay good money to have a fantastic time, perhaps staying at the holiday parks at Dawlish Warren. They are now not allowed to go toilet, this is crazy. Also we're asked to pay more and more and bit by bit we get less in return.
They dont seem to understand that people come to devon as tourists, and if they close the toilets where do people go, and why would you pay for toilets then parking etc. Where do they find these people for council positions who have no common sense. The small increase has been made to ensure the ‘continued delivery of services and new projects’. What a joke, what services! I presume Dawlish council will be putting themselves forward a nice pay rise and another big injection of money into their pension pot in my opinion.
