It is with regret that we have taken the decision to cancel the Saturday Christmas Market. Having reviewed numerous weather forecasts, there is likely to be sustained winds of 24mph and gusts of up to 35-40mph. Tiverton resident Joan Weeks celebrated her centenary on August 18. She was born in Wisteria Cottage, The High Street Dawlish, in 1919. For some years she also lived in the ‘Coastguards’ cottages at Dawlish. From there she used to travel on the train to Teignmouth Grammar School.
