We've got some very exciting news for Dawlish... Councillors voted unanimously to approve the complete refurbishment and extension of the Manor Gardens Play Park, funded partly by Teignbridge District Council , with the majority of funds coming from the Town Council. What amazes me more than anything is there was a police car in Dawlish willing to actually stop in the town. A rare occurrence to be sure.

The government wont be happy until every emergency service is placed in a few central hubs with zero satellite support locations and then it will all be auctioned off to private enterprise to the highest bidder, in my opinion. Just look at how the police force in Devon has slowly been taken away from rural locations. Same seems to go for Banking as well.

Wish they would outline the case for getting potholes fixed grass verges cut etc and all the local things that we pay our council tax for. Devon county council have mismanaged the budget by millions of pounds so this is a good side show to take the pressure off.

They blame 'crazy' new safety measures which made the road narrower Huge traffic jams built up and people got out of their vehicles to watch the drama.
