Apparently the work will take longer than first thought. The contractors have said more of the wall needs to be removed to complete the safety works and extra scaffolding needs to be brought in. It could take a further three weeks. Devon County Council will not allow any more work to take place once the initial work is finished involving the road itself until the end of September.
It's a shame it's got to this level without being noticed. I agree whichever school the year 6 children will go to will find it hard. Parents must feel very let down!
