@Paul thank you so much for taking the time to do the map. I think where we are looking would be near to there. Your description of Dawlish sounds perfect, I really hope we can manage to get a place down there. @TheObserver we are possibly looking near to the town on Exeter road, near the garage on the corner. Hopefully this is one of the nice area's.

@Steve , yes I agree. The problem is that climate change has been communicated in terms of doomsday scenarios which has the effect of making people fearful, focusing on intrinsic needs and not collective endeavour, causing inertia. That and scientific data on a global scale and a magnitude that is often too abstract for people to comprehend and relate to their everyday lives. Plus if it really was ...

@Paul I think a lot of people who would usually vote Tory did the same as you, and some usual Tory votes who wouldn't vote Refom just stayed at home and didn't vote at all. I don't think the low voter turn-out is solely down to photo ID coming in. The Labour party knows that their victory isn't as convincing as the landslide 412 seats suggests, it's all down to first-past-the-post, with the ...

Maybe Mp Wrigley will continue in the vain of his Leader who acted like a complete clown through the whole election. Maybe a waterski from Teignmouth to Dawlish , paragliding from Haldon Hills , paddleboarding at Shaldon and rock climbing at Coryton. If it wasn't for everyone wanting to get rid of the Tories , the Liberals would have been decimated. Tactical voting won seats and nothing else. Why ...

@BOO HOO , I don't believe Galloway made the mark? However I quite agree that the people voted and with regret politics is not so clearly black and white and therefore while the people spoke the designation of seats does not provide a fair and just process. Here's to Farage's chance to blow and push the Labour off course and take it's rightful place.

Hopefully the club can now go in the right direction because the last few years has been a shambles. To have a Town the size of Dawlish, have a team playing park football against tiny villages and 2nd 11 teams is scandalous. They should at least be playing in the Western League.

The only hustings of the general election took place at Teignmouth Community School. It's great that pupils are encouraged to take an interest in politics... But why has there been no hustings for those of us 18 and over, i.e. actual voters? Pretty shocking that the electorate is unable to ask questions and scrutinize candidates. Let's hope these teenagers don't expect to attend hustings once they ...
