Is it me? The newspaper article says all this happened at the September meeting of TDC's planning committee. But I've looked on the minutes of that meeting and I can't find any reference to this planning application.

From the Teignbridge Local Plan "DA5 Land at Littleleigh, Holcombe A site of approximately 1.4 hectares is allocated at Littleleigh, Holcombe for up to 35 homes, with a target of 25% affordable homes. The Dawlish Parish Neighbourhood Plan has identified a site for new housing adjoining Holcombe village, which now has planning permission. An extended site is fronted on three ...

@Lynne your comments on stockton and gatehouse hill traffic using carhaix is exactly the reason that secmaton lane was closed off to vehicle traffic, and as an aside remember that it takes on average 10 lorry movements to build a house thats 10 in and 10 out. so for 484 houses at gatehouse thats a total of of 9680 lorry movements during the building either along elm grove road or carhaix way.  ...

So will we the residents of Teignbridge be forking out for a builders cockup, but then the residents of Carhaix must be grateful as they wont like it when they get heavy constuction traffic using Carhaix as a short cut to the Gatehouse building site because the link road will not be built first.

I wonder if the residents will complain so much when they realise that a lot of the building traffic for Gatehouse Farm will probably use it as a short cut to avoid the problems of turning into Elm Grove Road. Wonder how they will like heavy constuction traffic passing their doors. It was also unsurprising to hear that TDC Planning Department are passing the buck to Devon County Council.

and we pay their wages, there should be sackings over this but as it is, it makes the Exeter road junction with Cairhax Way a little safer so leave as is before we end up with another stretch of 30mph speed restriction. The incompetence of TDC and DCC highways can clearly be seen by the joke they have created on the Warren Road by the Beach Road and along towards Millin Way. Hope they rememberd ...
