If the Manor is not able to pay its way, it will shut & be sold off to developers & then the land will be private so none of us will be able to park there.  It is an expensive building to keep maintained given its age & Grade II listing & needs a constant source of revenue. I have been there in the evenings when people who are attending the classes have not been able to find a parking space there ...

It's been a problem for as long as i can remember the problem is folk dont want to walk. I live in the town centre and park my car up the bartons a nice daily walk keeps the old ticker going.

Am I missing something. Why do residents think they have the right to use the manor as a car park. People who pay to use the Manor often can' park. It isn't a car park. I'm sorry if they have nowhere to park, but don't expect a free ride. You know when you buy your house there is no parking, so stop whinging and find somewhere else to park.

This will represent a 1.4% pay rise. It will take effect from April 2017. Earlier this year they had a pay rise of 1.3%. Two years ago they had a 10% pay hike. Public sector workers such as nurses, firefighters, teachers, police have been limited to 1% pay rises for four years.

Having used the bus to Exeter for the last two days I can confirm that the buses are used extensively after 5:00 pm. The problem over low usage seems to revolve around the very poor timekeeping of the route 2 buses. In the trip up to Exeter on Monday I counted 7 buses coming the other way, they are supposed to be 20 minutes apart but at least 4 buses were only 5 minutes apart so one of the two ...
