A pensioner who died after his car crashed into a tree near Torquay has been named as RAF veteran Wilfred Owen. The 84-year-old, of Dawlish , was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth on Remembrance Sunday, November 10, after the incident on the A379 between Teignmouth and Torquay at around 12.55pm.

The man in his 80s who died in a road traffic collision near Maidencombe on Remembrance Sunday has been named as Dawlish resident Wilfred Owen. Emergency services were called to the A379 Teignmouth Road at around 1pm on Sunday November 10 after a red Nissan Note was reported to have collided with a tree.

Last week the neighbourhood team issued ASB warnings to seven youths in Dawlish. Two acceptable behaviour contracts were also issued to two youths in Teignmouth. They are issued in partnership with Teignbridge council. If the behaviour continues we can apply for civil injunctions which will put restrictions in place like location bans and curfews etc. If you are experiencing ...
