Dont see how it could be made safer as a) its a main road, so no speed bumps for example could be put in the road B) There are 2 zebra crossings in that area so its not a fast race area along with the normal speed limit for that section of road. A petition demanding improvements to road safety in Dawlish has been signed by more than 200 people in less than 24 hours following a fatal road traffic collision last week. Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following the incident involving a blue Peugeot and a mobility scooter on the A379 Exeter Road in Dawlish last Wednesday (November 13) .
