Isn't it already illegal to pay women a lower rate for doing the same job as a man?

But we still have a long way to go equal pay the pension problem and equality in the workplace and thats for starters lets hope it doesn't take another 100 years.
100 years ago today since women aged 30 + and who were property owners, or married to property owners won the right to vote. It wasn't until 10 years later in 1928 that all women aged 21 and over had the right to vote. But thank you Leatash for starting this thread. Sainsburys are restructuring and they are reducing the tiers of management. I understand dept manager will have to reapply for their jobs and team leaders roles will be changed.
What is deemed to be dirty and what is not varies from culture to culture. Homebase are owned by an Australian company. Still sad news for their employees, but thankfully largely irrelevant to Dawlish.
Thank goodness for that. Somebody must have got them mixed up with Homebase who are closing about 40 stores around the country.
