100 years ago today since women aged 30 + and who were property owners, or married to property owners won the right to vote. It wasn't until 10 years later in 1928 that all women aged 21 and over had the right to vote. But thank you Leatash for starting this thread. Homebase are owned by an Australian company. Still sad news for their employees, but thankfully largely irrelevant to Dawlish.
Thank goodness for that. Somebody must have got them mixed up with Homebase who are closing about 40 stores around the country.
