Some say this, but I disagree.
Looking at the estate agent listings, it appears as though Dawlish house sellers haven't grasped the fact that real estate prices are tumbling elsewhere. What is the explanation? Is Dawlish a unique case, or are these properties in the estate agent's windows simply not selling?

No because Dawlish was better back then. It had a cinema, ....more hotels. Dawlish is not even staying still, it has been going backwards for decades. It pains me to say so, but Teignmouth is going in the right direction development-wise, unlike Dawlish.
How about a webcam somewhere in Dawlish broadcasting 24/7 ...otherwise its not really 'live' is it. In fact traffic here has declined alarmingly.
Yes, lets not get pollyanna-ish about the prevalance of kickbacks. Many years ago when I worked in a theatre as a cloakroom attendent, I pocketed the tips that I received, whereas I was meant to hand them over to the Boss.
Are you talking about the lummoxes in drag who walk down the gutter at top speed shaking a bucket of coins? ...the kickback is that they get to keep any one pound or two pound coins that are dropped in.
