No because Dawlish was better back then. It had a cinema, ....more hotels. Dawlish is not even staying still, it has been going backwards for decades. It pains me to say so, but Teignmouth is going in the right direction development-wise, unlike Dawlish.

What is their stance on planning permission for in-town land plots? Just modest size say 1-2 houses. Or do they get silly and obstructive about it?

Looking at the estate agent listings, it appears as though Dawlish house sellers haven't grasped the fact that real estate prices are tumbling elsewhere. What is the explanation? Is Dawlish a unique case, or are these properties in the estate agent's windows simply not selling?
