It will be interesting to see how many business units Sainsburys are planing. There are still empty ones for sale and to let on the shutterton industrial estate, so do we realy need more?

Bogof seems to know what Dawlish needs or what Dawlish will not get, I wonder if Bogof is a newcomer and think they can tell local people what they realy !!! realy want!!!!

I thought Tesco had already bought the lease on sandy lane. You don't have to own the land to build on it. Tesco could submit plans to the council to build a store. If the council passed the plans it would be a nice little earner for them as Tesco would have to pay the council an agreed rent.

Your best bet would be a Pub.

The restuarant in the high street does open but it's up for sale.

I wouldn't worry about the volume of traffic in and out of Dawlish because i think it's in the pipeline to put a road via sandy lane, past the leisure centre and out the back of secmaton.
