There is a cycle hire shop in Dawlish on Park Road and they do really good trade. But thanks for the article Lynne and let's hope a budding cafe owner in Dawlish takes up the idea. The new canopy on the up platform was being fitted today. And yes, the planted tubs will remain after the official opening. At long last our dreary station is getting the facelift it has needed for a very long time.

I have followed this up with the Council as some Councillors knew nothing about this meeting. Apparently there were a number of people at the meeting including Anne Marie, the Mayor and key people from TDC as well as affected residents.

I go up to London most weeks for my work and have used that line since the work on the Whiteball tunnel as FGW sent most of their trains that way. I was told on Thursday by rail staff that the work on the Whiteball tunnel is overrunning by two days so it will be chaos on Monday and Tuesday as all the FGW trains will have to start from Taunton. They should have done that years ago instead of patching up the wall. They will have to do something similar now if we are going to keep our railway line.
