On the subject of house building numbers. This is from the December 2019 Conservative party general election manifesto: " we will continue our progress towards our target of 300,000 homes a year by the mid-2020s. This will see us build at least a million more homes, of all tenures, over the next Parliament ".
Planning permission has been granted.
Saw an interview with the editor of the Lancet yesterday. And Jonathan Van Tam on tv this morning. Both saying more or less the same thing. Seems it is young people who are spreading the disease now but not only amongst themselves. For when they go home they then spread it to other, older, members of their families. I think it was Matt Hancock who recently used the phrase "Don't kill your ...
That the man has been arrested shows that he is not above the law.
So.......given as I didn't know I did what anyone with access to the internet can do - I emailed TDC and asked them. Am told that the increase was in the April 2019 budget (when TDC was controlled by the Conservatives). The Lib Dems inherited this budget when they took over control of the council in May 2019. So...... t'was Conservatives that introduced the £35 charge in the first place ...
Was £35 when the Conservative administration introduced it in 2014. Now £40 (although still £35 for those able to claim a concession). Don't know when charge got increased.

Because he is a member of TDC's planning committee and also because of where ...
This is what TDC planners have asked for: Prior to commencement of any part of the site the Planning Authority shall have received and approved a Construction Management Plan (CMP) including: (a) the timetable of the works; (b) daily hours of construction; (c) any road closure; (d) hours during which delivery and construction traffic will travel to and from the site, with ...
Which is precisely why it needs to be made as public as possible what the terms and conditions are regarding times of work, routes to get to the site etc. Unsurprisingly I have been known to kick off big time when a planning condition has not been met. Up to others if they choose to do the same but they can only do that of course by knowing what has been agreed and then comparing that with ...
TDC planners have requested, and the developer has agreed to provide: a schedule of hours of work; a plan of which roads/streets will be used by lorries etc to access Longlands, and where the site workers will park their cars. When that information is on the planning portal I will post it on this thread so that those who live in that area of town will know what site traffic to expect, where to ...
