The previous posting was nothing to with me....i suspect that councillor protecting dullard Joey Deacon. But well said everyone....open debate every time! Perhaps Dawlish Town Council would like to try it? Would be refreshing to have openess and honesty from them for a change....
I've experienced the bullying of Joey Deacon. Can't stand the bigot. I wonder if he would be just as keen on openess in Dawlish Council meetings, where at present, all Councillors votes are kept hidden, therefore, those of us outside the Council have no idea who voted for what. I wonder why? To hide collusion perhaps?
It's obvious! Without doing a deal for this multi-use Centre, our financially inept and useless Dawlish Town Council would not have been able to build a Youth Centre. They obviously did whatever they could to avoid this embarrassing admittance of ineptitude to the people of Dawlish, that they pulled off this scam.
For those of us familiar with the corruption that permeates throughout our Council, it's no surprise that we have ended up with something for the youth of our town with strings attached. How else would our Councillors get hold of this amount of funds? By doing a deal, of course! The malfeasance that takes place in the name of Dawlish is indefensable! Others have said the same and i agree....this ...
Oh, you work as well do you Joey? Surely your job in the Warren should enable you to take in the view whenever you wish? Or does minimum wage drudgery obstruct you? I would like to see the whole of the Warren as a nature reserve. No golf, no tack, just the Warren battling the elements.
It's all to do with greed. Pretend you are there for the community and you can get away with murder. When did you last drink there? At those prices i want shares in the Brewery that own the place, not just a view out of the window (if you can get a window seat )! Anyway, what a view...tacky amusements, tacky shop, another tacky pub,Go-Karts and toilets!
Or if your name is Protheroe! They seem to have very little resistance to any project they undertake....and have a fast-track through planning regulations, which others find difficult to surmount.
