Why do so many people in Dawlish take the law into their own hands? Now I do not wish to condone what has happened, but no one has the right to pre-judge, do they? I have always believed or have been led to believe, that you are innocent until proven guilty. Has anyone been charged for the offence as serious as it was? Or has the culprit been issued with a fixed penalty for causing so much ...

JJ, If you can see what is happening and I can see what is happening, what is the plod doing about it? It is the mentality of these inconsiderate motorists that need to be addressed, not dress up the roads with uneccesary obstacles that affect all our lives whether physically or mentally. There is a tremendous amount of bad driving, and it is not only the boy racers that fall into that category.

Why should considerate drivers have to put up with the attics of in-considerate drivers who are few in number and would be very easy to apprehend. Speed bumps are not the answer. They do not affect motorcyclists or buses or lorries or larger vans or even bigger wider cars. So why should ordinary drivers have to endure the pain. I am all in favour of getting them to consider other road users, ...

Just a reminder that time is running out for browsers worried about the way Dawlish Town Council spent tax payers' money in 2006/7, especially on CCTV. They should write to the district Auditor within the next five or six weeks, asking him to investigate why the cost of the project rose from an initial estimate of £26,500 to a final price in excess of £80,000. Not to mention the annual running ...
